Fourth Sunday of Easter — John 10:27-30
Jesus said: “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand.”
Reflection
In today’s Gospel, Jesus presents himself as the Good Shepherd — the one who knows each of us by name, who leads us with love, and who protects us from all harm.
For us in the Diocese of Aitape, this image is particularly meaningful. Many of our communities are like sheep scattered across the mountains and valleys of Sandaun Province. Yet Jesus, our Good Shepherd, reaches each one of us.
Questions for Prayer
- Do I recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd in my daily life?
- How can I help bring others into the care of the Good Shepherd?
- Am I willing to trust fully in the Lord’s protection and guidance?
Let us pray that we may always remain close to our Good Shepherd, hearing his voice and following where he leads.
Amen.
